CAMARILLO, Calif. - Nationwide gas prices hit an all-time high in the last two weeks, rising nearly 2 cents to just over $3 per gallon, according to a survey released Sunday.

The national average for self-serve regular stood at $3.0150 a gallon Friday, up 1.98 cents in the last two weeks, according to the Lundberg Survey of 7,000 gas stations across the country.

The price exceed the previous high of $3.0117 set in September last year, analyst Trilby Lundberg said.

A gallon of mid-grade gasoline averaged around $3.12, and premium at nearly $3.22.

Nationwide, the lowest price for regular was $2.77 a gallon in Charleston, S.C., while the highest "? $3.28 a gallon "? was in San Diego.

Yet oil prices have dropped twice since al-Zarqawi was killed....

We got gas for $2.74 in Wytheville (Flying J) and $2.79 in Roanoke, while gas prices here are $2.89.

Always cheaper in Wytheville. Also cheaper at exit 150.

On the way to South Dakota gas didn't start getting really expensive until we hit Indiana. From thereit started to get a bit expensive.

Elizabethton is one of the cheapest places around to get gas in the Tri-Cities. Its normally 3-4 cents cheaper a gallon than even in Weber City. Of course as soon as you cross into NC/Banner Elk, its like a 15 cent jump in only 3 miles. [img]/LDPforum/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]

I'm not demecrat or republican. the best perosn for the job should be elected. If you vote blindly by political party we stand a chance of electing our own dictator.
Can you blame Bush for the raise of the price of Oil? that is debateable. what isnt debatable is the fact that neither democrat - Carter or Clinton- or any of the 3 republican's - Reagan, Bush 1 and Bush 2 - put any plan in place to make up independent of foreign oil. There is no way you are telling me that since the 70's gas crisis that they couldn't have already have fleets of cars 100% hybreds. Democrat and Republican have put us into this mess by not pushing for alternative fuels and alternative vehicles. It seems that after the 70's crisis the "most powerful people in the world" would have had the insite to see this coming.
